Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This policy explains how Pure Bathrooms uses cookies and similar technologies on purebathrooms.co. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies are widely used to make websites work properly, to remember your preferences, and to give site owners information about how their site is being used.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation are called third-party cookies. Cookies deleted when you close your browser are session cookies; those that remain for a set period are persistent cookies.
2. Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not currently run advertising, remarketing or web analytics tracking on this website, and we do not use cookies to build profiles of visitors or to follow you across other websites.
The cookies in use are limited to those needed to keep the site secure and working correctly, plus those set if you log in to the site as an administrator.
3. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Type & duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare (third party) | Distinguishes real visitors from automated traffic (bot management). Required to protect the website from abuse and to keep it available. | Strictly necessary. Expires approximately 30 minutes after your last request. |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Pure Bathrooms (first party) | Set only if you log in to the website as an administrator, to keep you signed in and remember editor preferences. These are not set for ordinary visitors. | Functional. Session, or up to 1 year for saved preferences. |
| Cache and delivery cookies | WP Engine (our host) | Used by our hosting platform to serve the correct version of a page and to bypass caching where a page must not be cached (for example, after submitting a form). | Strictly necessary. Session or short-lived. |
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, because the website cannot be provided securely without them.
4. Third-party services that do not set cookies
Some parts of our site load resources from third parties. These do not place advertising cookies on your device, but they do involve a request to that provider, which means your IP address and browser information are visible to them:
- Google Fonts — we load the typefaces used on this site from Google’s font service so that pages display consistently. Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Social media links — our Facebook and Instagram links are ordinary links, not embedded widgets. Nothing is loaded from those platforms until you choose to click through.
5. Enquiry forms
When you submit an enquiry form, the details you provide are emailed to us and stored in our website’s database so we can respond. This is not done using cookies. How we handle that information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Managing and disabling cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. You can usually set your browser to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies already stored. Instructions for common browsers:
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of this website to stop working correctly.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is currently no agreed standard for how websites should respond to it, so we do not act on Do Not Track signals — though as noted above, we do not track visitors for advertising or analytics in any case.
7. If this changes
If we add analytics or advertising tools to this website in the future, we will update this policy before or at the time those tools go live, and we will introduce a consent banner where consent is required. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
